Do you ever see drivers using bus stops or bus lanes to park or to pass? How about cars parked on sidewalks, in crosswalks or bike lanes?
Disruptions like blocked bus stops and crosswalks can be more than annoying — they can be dangerous. Documenting these situations allows us to build the case for improved transit and safer streets.
Clevelanders for Public Transit has partnered with OurStreets — an app that makes it easy to document issues that reduce the convenience of transit and make our transportation system less accessible, less equitable and more dangerous.
OurStreets is available for both Android and Apple users.
Download it today and start reporting!
Here’s how easy it is:
- Select the issue being reported
- Take a new photo, or upload an existing one
- Add any additional info
- We’ll take care of the rest!
OurStreets is a tool used to collect data about problems and where they occur. The more people who use it, the better it gets. All reports are logged into a database that allows insights to be gathered to build the case for better infrastructure, enforcement and safer streets.
OurStreets has also partnered with Bike Cleveland. Together, we will be able to identify problem areas and share them with local authorities and organizations to highlight enforcement needs and plan infrastructure changes.
When you report a problem, it doesn’t generate a formal complaint or remedy the problem in real time. It provides information that we can use to document patterns and make the case for infrastructure improvements and safer streets.
