URGENT: Take Action TODAY to Prevent Massive Cuts in Transit Funding!

State Budget Update – Time Sensitive!

As we have mentioned previously, GCRTA will lose nearly $20 million starting 2019, due to changes to Ohio’s sales tax policies. That would amount to 10% service cuts and 150 layoffs! Previously, we asked you to call Matt Dolan, and you did!

Senator Dolan has proposed an amendment that would reset the proposed franchise fee July 1, 2018, to keep transit authorities whole.

We need you to contact senate leaders TODAY:

CLICK HERE to send a letter to senate leadership around the state.

Next, call Scott Oelslager, Ohio Senate Finance Chair, at 614-466-0626.

Tell him to support Senator Dolan’s amendment. Let them know the Medicaid sales tax is by far the largest issue facing transit for years.  Tell them how further cuts and fare increases will effect you.

Tell them #NoCutsNoHikes.
Tell them to support Senator Dolan’s amendment to keep transit funding whole.
