Holiday Party 12/18 and More Events for Transit!

Come to CPT’s holiday party and plan for next year!

Join us Monday, December 18th from 5:30-8:30pm at the Cuyahoga County Progressive Caucus at 11910 Detroit Ave. We’ll discuss plans for CPT in 2018 and hang out together. Food will be provided!

Also, after December we will return to the east side at MLK Library on Thursday 1/11 at 5:30pm. More info soon.

Two important meetings to show up for transit!

Next Tuesday, 12/12 we will meet in the rotunda of the Downtown Heinen’s (900 Euclid Ave) at 4:45pm prior to the Cuyahoga County Council meeting.

Over the past year, the county formed a committee that has been looking at ways to fix public transit. The committee has been helpful but RTA still has major problems. We need to let County Council know it’s important to continue their work until RTA has a stable plan.

Tuesday, 12/19 we will meet at the Warehouse District Phoenix Coffee (826 W. St. Clair Ave) at 8:45am prior to the RTA monthly board meeting.

We will continue to let RTA know we are tired of delays and too much money being spent on transit police. RTA riders will continue to share their HealthLine and transit police experiences with the RTA board. There will also be a hearing on the 2018 budget. RTA is facing big cuts and we need you to continue to speak out.

We will be putting together an action plan to raise awareness and prevent the fare increase in August 2018 as well as the need for fair fare enforcement.  Bring your ideas!

We will continue to discuss our bylaws, with the elections for CPT coordinating committee in early 2018. Bylaws are essential and we want your input!
