We have outlined the reasons why Public Square should be reopen to GCRTA.

40,000 riders use buses on Public Square daily. We have waited patiently over 6 months for the City of Cleveland to reopen Public Square.

We have asked the Mayor Jackson to meet with riders but he has declined.

We have national stories on the issue from City Lab as well as international transit planner Jarrett Walker.

We are now at a point where the Federal Transit Administration has given Cleveland 2 options, either reopen Public Square or pay a $12 million fine.

We don’t want to waste $12 million of taxpayers’ money, we want Public Square reopen and we believe City Council has the authority to do so under the original HealthLine funding agreement, known as Ordinance 893-03.

Also join us as we attend City Council meetings on February 6th and 13th. We want City Council to take action before the February 21st FTA deadline to pay the $12 million fine.

City Council meetings are held at Cleveland City Hall, 601 Lakeside Ave. You’ll want to arrive by 6:45pm and bring ID to get into City Hall.
